The Story Behind Soulshine
Meet Latoya
Welcome!
I'm so glad you’ve found your way here.
If you’ve landed on this page, perhaps you’re searching for something.
Maybe it’s rest…or clarity.
Maybe it’s simply a place where you can breathe a little more deeply.
Whatever has brought you here, welcome. It is an honor to share this space with you.
My Story
People often ask how I found sound healing and forest bathing.
The truth is, I wasn’t searching for a profession. I was searching for my way back to myself.
During one of the most challenging seasons of my life, I found myself longing for something that felt steady, honest, and deeply alive.
What I discovered wasn’t a technique. It was a relationship. It was the quiet wisdom of the forest, and the grounding rhythm of the earth beneath my feet.
It was the way sound could move through my body, softening and transforming places words could never reach.
Slowly, I began remembering something I believe many of us have forgotten.
That we were never separate from nature and that we have always belonged to it.

What I Believe
I believe healing begins in relationship.
Relationship with ourselves, with one another, and with the Earth.
I believe sound is more than vibration. It is a language that reminds the body how to listen.
I believe connection with our natural world is one of the most sacred relationships we could ever have…One of our oldest teachers, offering wisdom through every season, every stream, every bird song, and every quiet moment beneath the trees.
I believe ceremony doesn't have to be elaborate to be sacred. It begins the moment we choose to bring our full presence to an experience.
Most of all…
I believe we are not here to escape nature. We are here to remember that we are one with it, and that all the wisdom she holds, lives within us too.

Every Soulshine experience begins with listening.
Before sound is ever played…before we ever step foot on a forest trail…before ceremony begins…
I listen.
To your story, your intentions, and to the season of life you are moving through.
Together, we create an experience that honors exactly where you are.
Some journeys may call for the grounding presence of the forest. Others may be supported through sound, elemental practices, quiet reflection, or shared ceremony.
Rather than following a fixed formula, I allow each experience to unfold in relationship with the person, the place and the moment itself.
Because no two journeys are ever the same.
My hope is not for you to leave one of my experiences believing I healed you, but for you to leave remembering your own capacity for healing.
Not to become the place where you escape your life, but to help you discover practices and relationships that continue long after our time together.
My hope is that the forest becomes a trusted companion, sound becomes a familiar language, and moments of ceremony begin to find their way into your everyday life.
